Webmentat is a founder-led product and engineering studio focused on multitenant SaaS platforms. We build our own software products, develop the Framework beneath them, and use that foundation to create Custom SaaS Solutions for businesses with complex operational requirements.

Webmentat exists to solve a recurring problem: many products can reach an impressive first version quickly, but the architecture and operational systems required to become a real business are often postponed until they become expensive to introduce.

Our approach is different. We begin with a foundation designed for tenants, roles, plans, workflows, payments, environments, deployment, data protection, customization, and continued product development. We then invest project effort in the capabilities that make each business different.

The Webmentat Framework is developed through the needs of real products.

A product introduces a real business requirement. The solution is implemented and refined in context. When it represents a recurring and sufficiently mature capability, it returns to the Framework and strengthens the foundation available to future products.

Founder-led responsibility

Webmentat is founder-led.

Architecture, product direction, and accepted engineering decisions remain under direct founder responsibility. Customers working on Custom SaaS Solutions communicate with the person making the technical and product decisions, without layers of salespeople, account managers, or disconnected delivery teams. This also limits how many custom engagements Webmentat can accept at one time.

Human decisions, AI-assisted engineering

Webmentat uses AI throughout architectural exploration, implementation, debugging, documentation, and review.

Final architectural decisions remain human. No AI-generated code becomes part of the accepted codebase without careful review. Code is not accepted merely because it resolves the immediate task. It must respect the architecture, reuse existing systems, avoid duplicated logic, remain understandable, and solve the problem without unnecessary complexity.
